The Caubella and Fontanals venues will once again host a variety of entertainment and activities for all audiences during the competition days, combining the races with amusement.

Pal Arinsal continues working on preparations for the UCI MTB World Cup, which will be held in Andorra next week, from July 9 to 12. The event will arrive in La Massana for the eleventh edition, in addition to the two World Championships held in 2015 and 2024, and will once again turn the resort and parish into the world epicenter of mountain biking. The great mountain two-wheel spectacle will be complemented by the Bike Festival, a wide range of experiences accompanying the competitions with performances, recreational activities, and charitable actions designed for all audiences. The activities will be concentrated at the Caubella venues, where the cross-country races will take place, and Fontanals, the setting for the downhill competitions.

Performances and activities to experience MTB at all times

The epicenters of the WHOOP UCI MTB World Series in Pal, Caubella, and Fontanals will experience a great atmosphere throughout the week thanks to the many activities and performances planned as part of the Bike Festival, which will be especially concentrated between Friday and Sunday.

The festive atmosphere will be guaranteed with the continuous presence of DJ Simply J, the Always Drinking Marching Band, the batucada group Perkal Drums, as well as the mascots Skippy and Rocky, and a team of entertainers who will interact with attendees. Live music, roaming shows, and interactive activities will help create an immersive experience both in the competition zones and in the areas set aside for the public.

The Expo Area at Caubella will become a leisure and discovery space for all ages, with participatory activities designed so visitors can actively get involved in the event. There will be a photo booth with a giant hammock, an axe-throwing area to test your aim, live helmet customization demonstrations, as well as skill and precision games related to the world of cycling. There will also be sponsor activations, rounding out the entertainment offer.

The youngest visitors will also have the Bike Rules area at the Bike World in Pal Arinsal, a specific zone with a tailored circuit to learn and practice cycling in a safe environment. Meanwhile, fans of all ages will be able to discover a historic bicycle from the Bici Lab museum, a true collector’s item like the Klunker Columbia (1962), a bike very popular among American newspaper delivery boys in the past, and take part in an interactive game related to this sporting heritage.

The social dimension of the event will also be present thanks to the participation of the Nostra Senyora de Meritxell Foundation, which will offer a craft workshop inspired by the World Cup and a sales area with products made by its users, giving visibility to its project and encouraging the public’s charitable involvement.

Among the most unique attractions is the Hotseat installation on the Camí del Bosc, the spot that connects the Caubella and Fontanals venues. Visitors will be able to sit in the temporary seat reserved for the downhill leaders and take photos at one of the most iconic places in the competition.

The event will conclude on Sunday afternoon with an open party for spectators, volunteers, staff, and riders, conceived as a meeting space to share and celebrate together the end of the competition.

Solidarity with Bicicletas sin Fronteras and sustainable mobility

Sustainability and solidarity are once again among the main pillars of the Pal Arinsal UCI MTB World Cup, with various initiatives aimed at reducing environmental impact and reinforcing the connection with the local area.

On the culinary front, the event is committed to locally sourced products, prioritizing agricultural, livestock and artisanal ingredients from Andorra, as well as seasonal foods that contribute to more responsible cuisine with a lower carbon footprint.

At the same time, more sustainable mobility is being promoted through Mountain Rideshare, a platform that helps attendees carpool to reduce CO₂ emissions and the number of individual trips.

Additionally, the World Cup maintains its charitable focus by collaborating with Bicicletas Sin Fronteras, supporting its school bike transportation project in Senegal, and strengthens its commitment to integrating the event into the fabric of the country by bringing the competition closer to Andorran children and youth, so they can experience a world-renowned sporting event up close and feel part of its legacy.
